First and Emergency Aid Program

History of the Program:

  1. formal education started in 1997-1998 academic year; II. formal education started in 2013-2014 academic year. Since the 2022-2023 academic year, there is no student intake for formal education.

Program Objective:

In pre-hospital emergency care, which is defined as the key to the chain of life in emergency health services; to train qualified first and emergency aid technicians who can provide emergency intervention to critically ill patients / victims and provide life-saving and disability-preventing medical intervention opportunities during hospital transportation.

Content of Education :

The main content of our education and training process; In line with the needs and expectations of health services, the aim of training first and emergency aid technicians (paramedics) who tend to develop lifelong, make a difference and have sufficient knowledge, skills and equipment in their field. During the two-year training period, students are given theoretical and practical courses to gain the ability to manage the entire intervention, pre-diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and transportation process in the pre-hospital area as well as professional knowledge and skills training in their fields. With the practices carried out in the emergency departments, delivery rooms, intensive care and operating rooms of public and private hospitals, 112 emergency health services stations, our students are provided to gain experience before starting their professional life.

Working Areas After Graduation:

Graduates with the title of first and emergency aid technician (paramedic) can work in pre-hospital 112 emergency health services stations, 112 command control centers and emergency services of all hospitals in the public or private sector.

Program Admission Requirements:

Students are admitted to the program according to TYT score.
