The objective of the Radiation Therapy Program is to educate competent auxiliary healthcare personnel with the knowledge and skills required for performing radiation therapy and simulation, enabling them to assist radiation oncologists and work in radiation oncology centers.

One of the most distinctive factors of the radiation therapy program at Akdeniz University is its advanced technical infrastructure. Akdeniz University houses some of the country's most significant cancer treatment centers. Through the foundational and specialized courses they receive during their education, our students will be capable of tasks such as determining treatment areas and adjusting treatment positions, operating and utilizing radiation therapy equipment, administering radiation therapy to patients, and monitoring the patient's condition throughout the treatment process. Moreover, our students have the opportunity for professional practice at Akdeniz University hospitals.

Upon graduation from this program, students are awarded the title of "Radiation Therapy Technician." Graduates can work in diagnostic, treatment, and planning units of private or public hospitals, as well as in radiation therapy, radiology, and nuclear medicine departments of medical faculties.

Admission Requirements: Students are admitted to the program based on their scores in the Higher Education Institutions Examination (TYT).
